Engineering Open House

UAF engineering students and professors will give demonstrations; view the Ice Arch; watch a simulated earthquake; operate a remote controlled robot; pan for gold; tour U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permafrost Tunnel in Fox (2 p.m.) and much more.

Racing Homing Pigeon Expo

Yukon Quest Movies
The Alaska Public Lands Information Center is showing the Quest movie “Six On/Six Off” daily Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
Another Quest movie will be shown Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and introduced by filmmaker Becky Bristow.
Yukon Quest Events
The Yukon Quest will finish soon, with the first musher arriving in Fairbanks on the Chena River any day now. There are many events going on around town, and here is the website so you don't miss any of the excitement.

2007 Speech & Poster Contest - "Conservation's Power"

Fairbanks Soil & Water Conservation District is proud to sponsor its 2007 Speech and Poster Contest. This year's theme is "Conservation's Power." Local winners will receive cash prizes and advance to compete at the state competition in March. All students are invited to become involved in this contest. Entries are due Feb. 26th, with judging on Feb. 28th. A free storytime for 3-5 year olds, held in the Berry Room Storytelling Area. Weekly registration is required.

Preschool Storytime is also offered on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM.
